Responsible Gaming

Last updated: 7 October 2026

We want 9TO5 to stay a form of entertainment. Here you will find the tools to keep control of your play, the signs to watch for, and where to get help.

1.Play for fun, not for money

  • Gambling is entertainment. Over time, the house always has an edge: never count on it to earn money.
  • Only play with money you can afford to lose, never with money meant for rent, bills or food.
  • Set a budget and a time limit before you start, and stop when you reach them.
  • Do not chase losses. Take regular breaks. Avoid playing when upset, tired or under the influence.

2.Your tools

All tools are in Settings › Responsible gaming, available at any time without contacting support.

  • Deposit limit: the most you can deposit over 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days.
  • Loss limit: the most you can lose (bets minus wins) over the period.
  • Wager limit: the total amount you can bet over the period.
  • Take a break: 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days without betting, deposits or rewards.
  • Self-exclusion: 6 months, 1 year, 5 years or permanently. Your account is closed to play for the whole period and you stop receiving offers.

Lowering a limit applies immediately. Raising or removing a limit only applies after 24 hours. Breaks and self-exclusions cannot be cancelled or shortened, not even by our support team. During a break or a self-exclusion you can still log in and withdraw your balance.

3.Is gambling still fun?

Answer honestly:

  • Do you spend more money or time gambling than you planned?
  • Do you gamble to win back what you lost?
  • Have you borrowed money or sold things to gamble?
  • Do you hide your gambling from people close to you?
  • Do you feel restless or irritable when you try to cut down?
  • Has gambling caused problems with your work, studies, money or relationships?

If you answered yes to one or more questions, gambling may be becoming a problem. Consider setting limits or taking a break now, and talk to one of the organisations below.

4.Where to find help

These organisations offer free and confidential support. They are independent from 9TO5.

You can also contact our support team: we can explain the tools and help you set them up.

5.Protecting minors

Gambling under 18 is forbidden. We confirm the age of every player at registration and may ask for proof at any time. Accounts opened by minors are closed and their bets voided.

If children use your devices, keep your login details private, do not save your password in the browser, and consider parental control software to block gambling sites.

6.Our commitment

Our team is trained to recognise signs of harmful play. If we see them, we may contact you, suggest tools, or limit or close your account. We never send promotional offers to players on a break or self-excluded.
